In alignment with the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009 section 12(1)(C), Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSE&L) is proud to implement a policy mandating that recognized private schools reserve 25% of their seats in entry class for children belonging to disadvantaged group & weaker sections of the society. This progressive step aims to bridge the educational gap and ensure that every child, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to quality education. We firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of personal and societal development. By allocating a quarter of seats in recognized private schools to children from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds, we strive to create an environment where diverse perspectives thrive, nurturing a more inclusive and harmonious society. This initiative not only fulfills a legal obligation but also underscores our collective responsibility to build a more just and equitable society. Private schools play important role in shaping the educational landscape, and this move reinforces their role as partners in the larger mission of providing quality education to all.

The Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009 has been a cornerstone in promoting equitable access to quality education, particularly for children belonging to disadvantaged group & weaker sections of the society. In adherence to the provisions outlined in the RTE Act 2009 section 12 (1) (c), it is heartening to announce the allocation of 25% reserved seats in entry class of recognized private schools for children from these vulnerable segments of society. This strategic move is not only a legal mandate but a reflection of our commitment to building a more just and inclusive society. By providing access to quality education in private institutions, we are breaking down barriers and opening doors of opportunity for children who may otherwise face educational disparities. Private schools play an important role in shaping the educational landscape, and the allocation of reserved seats serves as a bridge to connect children from disadvantaged group & weaker sections to enhanced learning environments. It is our belief that this step will contribute significantly to the empowerment of individuals and communities, creating a more equal and harmonious society.
